Agency Agrees to Pay Blocked Grant to Open Technology Fund (1)

The US Agency for Global Media will revoke its termination of grants funds to nonprofit Open Technology Fund after it withheld the money, pursuant to an executive order from the Trump administration.

OTF attorney Patrick Daugherty during a status conference Thursday said the US Department of Justice called with the announcement Wednesday night.

The DOJ said it will immediately begin issuing the wholesale payment, but it can’t guarantee when it will arrive, also confirmed by DOJ attorney Abigail Stout who was present at the conference.
