Dentistry Startup Byte Nabs Paul Hastings Partner as GC (1)

Tele-dentistry startup Byte has hired former Paul Hastings partner Meagan Olsen as its first general counsel and chief of staff.

Olsen joined the Los Angeles-based Byte, a unit of Dentsply Sirona Inc., in February after about eight years with Paul Hastings and one year with toy maker Mattel Inc., as senior counsel.

Byte, founded in 2017, provides at-home teeth straighteners for $85 a month. The company reported a 1,000% increase in sales in the first quarter of 2020, partially boosted by the Covid-19 pandemic’s effect on demand for telehealth.
