Delta Air Lines Sued by EEOC for Failure to Hire Pregnant Worker

The US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing Delta Air Lines, Inc. alleging discrimination against a pregnant job applicant in New York City.

The EEOC alleges in its Tuesday complaint filed in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York that Delta violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Pregnancy Discrimination Act when it rescinded Jayceline Gonzalez’s conditional job offer for a customer service position.

Gonzalez applied in 2022 to the role at Delta’s La Guardia Airport location.
