Delaware Supreme Court Justice Is Planned Biden Circuit Nominee

Delaware Supreme Court Justice Tamika Montgomery-Reeves is Biden’s planned nominee for a vacancy on the Philadelphia-based US appeals court.

President Joe Biden announced intent to nominate Montgomery-Reeves to the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit Wednesday, bringing the total number of pending circuit nominees to 15.

Montgomery-Reeves was the first Black judge to join Delaware’s top court and the third woman. She was previously a judge on the Delaware Chancery Court, an important venue for corporate disputes, and a partner at Wilson Sonsini in Delaware.
