Tamika Montgomery-Reeves, the first Black judge to join Delaware’s Supreme Court, was confirmed to the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
The Senate voted 53-35 on Monday to confirm Montgomery-Reeves to the Philadelphia-based court.
Montgomery-Reeves was a partner at Wilson Sonsini in Delaware before becoming the first Black person to serve on the Delaware Chancery Court, an important venue for corporate disputes, in 2015. She was elevated to the Delaware Supreme Court in 2020.
