Washington’s lead prosecutor is demanding a medical journal focused on chest medicine answer questions on its editorial practices, including how it handles “competing viewpoints” and what he called its “responsibilities to protect the public from misinformation.”
Ed Martin, the acting US attorney for the District of Columbia, made the request in an April 14 letter to the editor-in-chief of the journal CHEST, a publication from the American College of Chest Physicians, according to a copy seen by Bloomberg Law.
