A high school principal must face claims that she intentionally inflicted severe emotional distress on a student after she reported that she’d been sexually assaulted, a Washington federal appeals court held.
A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit revived the claim on Tuesday against then-Roosevelt High School Principal Aqueelha James over her handling of a freshman’s allegations she was assaulted in a bathroom by another student in 2017.
