Dallas Must Face Horse Park’s Claims in Land Contracting Dispute

Dallas lost its bid to prove the city still had immunity in a case arising from a breach of contract with River Ranch Educational Charities over the operation of a horse park, a Texas court of appeals ruled.

The city alleged that it had immunity from RREC’s counterclaims because the Texas Horse Park was controlled by the city and it only allowed RREC on the premises to provide equestrian activities, which falls within its government function.
