Companies would benefit from continued liability protections when sharing cybersecurity information with the government under legislation advancing in the House.
The Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday unanimously approved a bill extending protections for companies that share cyberattack information. The Cybersecurity and Information Sharing Act of 2015, which established the protections, expires at the end of September.
