A California man the SEC accused of creating a fake agency to make his cryptocurrency operation appear to have government backing can’t get his case put on hold.
Reginald Buddy Ringgold III, Blockvest LLC’s founder, asked for a stay pending the resolution of a criminal proceeding, but can’t get one because the U.S. Justice Department hasn’t actually indicted him, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California said April 5.
