A woman who alleges soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009 will ask the Ninth Circuit to reinstate her lawsuit challenging the legality of a 2010 confidential settlement of her claims.
Kathryn Mayorga’s complaint, filed in 2019, alleged she lacked the mental capacity to settle the claims “due to the injuries suffered during the initial sexual assault, the subsequent threat to publicly and falsely accuse her of extortion and false accusations that she fabricated the facts and circumstances of the sexual assault.”
