A lawsuit alleging Craigslist Inc. was aware that certain sections of the advertisement platform were being used for sex trafficking of adults and children will be reviewed by the Ninth Circuit.
A plaintiff named only as “J.B,” said she was advertised for sale on the Craigslist “Erotic Services” and “Adult Services” classified categories, and repeatedly trafficked. Craigslist knew these sections were used to traffic women and children, she said. She also sued several motels throughout Oakland, where she said she was imprisoned and abused.
