A Kentucky teenager whose videotaped confrontation with a Native American demonstrator went viral has filed a $275 million lawsuit accusing CNN of “vilifying and bullying him” to push an anti-Trump agenda.
Nicholas Sandmann, who was wearing a Make America Great Again hat during the widely viewed incident, says the network recklessly advanced the false story that he was the ringleader of a racist mob of white students chanting “build that wall” at a Native American elder and Vietnam veteran. The chant, which refers to President Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the Mexican border, is a favorite at his rallies.
