Court to Scrutinize Social Media Posts in California Murder Case

Facebook Inc. and Twitter Inc. could be returning to the California Supreme Court to argue against having to provide social media posts in long-running subpoena fights in a drive-by murder case.

Justices on Wednesday agreed to review whether an appellate court was correct in siding with the social media companies that they didn’t have to produce a murder victim’s and a witness’s private and public posts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram LLC.
