Court Denies Ex-Defender’s Appeal in Judiciary Misconduct Case

A US appeals court has rejected a former federal public defender’s appeal over the judiciary’s handling of her sexual harassment claim.

A three-judge panel of appellate judges issued the unanimous decision Friday, against Caryn Strickland’s arguments that her due process and equal protection rights were violated in the investigation of her claim against her supervisor.

Federal defenders are housed within the judiciary and are subject to the federal courts’ process for handling workplace misconduct claims, known as the Employment Dispute Resolution Plan.
