A Missouri court clerk must face a civil rights suit by a woman who alleges that as a minor seeking an abortion, she was denied the right to apply for a judicial hearing without parental notification, a divided Eighth Circuit affirmed Thursday.
Jane Doe, then 17, discovered she was pregnant in December 2018 and went to the Randolph County Courthouse to apply for a hearing to bypass a parental consent requirement for the procedure.
