Costco Settles Suit With California Shopper Who Slipped in Store

Costco Wholesale Corp. and a Alameda County, Calif., shopper settled the negligence suit she filed against the company after she slipped on water and fell in one of its stores.

In an order of conditional dismissal, Judge Susan Illston of the US District Court for the Northern District of California on Wednesday dismissed the case with prejudice but said that the dismissal can be vacated within 90 days if the “settlement has not in fact occurred.”
