CorePower Yoga LLC is on the hook for more than $30 million after trying to drop a buyout of 34 franchise locations after the coronavirus pandemic began, Delaware’s top court ruled Wednesday.
The state’s justices ruled in favor of Level 4 Yoga LLC, once the largest franchise operator of CorePower studios. The decision affirmed a ruling by former Vice Chancellor Joseph R. Slights III, who rejected the idea that Level 4 gave CorePower grounds to renege by complying with Covid-19 lockdowns.
