A lawsuit challenging Colorado’s three-day waiting period to possess an already-purchased gun was voluntarily dismissed from a federal appeals court Friday.
The US Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit tossed the case in response to a motion to voluntarily dismiss brought by Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, which had wanted the appeals court to temporarily halt implementation of the law—known as the Waiting Period Act. The law, enacted in 2023, prevents someone from possessing a gun for three days after purchase.
