A group of current and former college athletes who say they should be paid for their participation in Division I sports asked a federal court to reject the NCAA’s renewed request to allow a federal appeals court to weigh in on the suit.
“The NCAA had ample opportunity to raise its new arguments in its original petition” for appellate review and shouldn’t get a “second bite at the apple,” the students told the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Monday.
