Jewish and Israeli passengers didn’t adequately claim that US Coachways Inc. intentionally violated their civil rights when it canceled their buses for a trip to attend a rally supporting Israel, a federal court said.
The plaintiffs failed to specifically allege facts that, if true, would show Coachways intentionally discriminated against them, or circumstances giving rise to a plausible inference of discriminatory intent based on their religion, Judge Jennifer L. Rochon said Tuesday for the US District Court for Southern District of New York, partially dismissing the lawsuit.
