Environmental groups missed their deadline to challenge the Bureau of Land Management’s decision to round up horses and remove them from a certain area in Nevada, the D.C. Circuit affirmed Friday.
The agency said it decided to remove the horses because food and water were scarce and the area doesn’t provide “sufficient habitat resources,” according to court filings. One horse roundup took place in 2009, and another took place in 2018.
