Carnegie Mellon University must defend against intentional infliction of emotional distress and wiretapping claims in a Jewish student’s discrimination suit in federal court.
Though Judge W. Scott Hardy of the US District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania already dismissed Yael Canaan’s emotional distress claim, he said Dec. 5 that her amended complaint presents new evidence and it wouldn’t be futile for her to pursue the claims.
