Cannabis Stacked Tax Appeal Skipped by Missouri High Court

The Missouri Supreme Court rejected a county’s bid to review a case about whether multiple local governments can impose simultaneous cannabis taxes.

Vertical Enterprises LLC’s suit against Buchanan County had been stayed by the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals while a parallel suit involving St. Louis is already pending at the state high court. Buchanan made its transfer request earlier in April.
