Cannabis lifestyle company The Holding Company LLC sued a distributor in California federal court for using its registered copyrights and a trademark on cannabis products.
Pacific West Distributors allegedly continued to sell WHAM! branded products while also using a variety of registered copyrights despite multiple cease and desist letters, THC told the US District Court for the Central District of California. The copyright registrations consist of colorful comic book-style graphics featuring terms including “WHAM!,” “SAVAGE PATCH!,” and “GOONBERRIES!”
