California’s One-Gun-a-Month Rule Doubted by Ninth Circuit Panel

A California law restricting residents from purchasing more than one firearm in a 30-day period was scrutinized by a panel of appeals court judges who appeared skeptical that the law passed constitutional muster.

Although the state argued the law is meant to curtail illegal gun trafficking through bulk purchases, the judges for the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit at a Wednesday hearing said the rule likely infringes the Second Amendment.
