A California superior court judge who was found to have treated parties in two cases discourteously was publicly reprimanded by the state’s commission on judicial performance.
Frank Roesch violated judicial conduct rules on impartiality and courteousness, and he failed to act in “a manner that promotes public confidence in the integrity” of the judiciary, the Commission on Judicial Performance said in an opinion Thursday.
In a jury trial, Roesch, a judge with the Alameda County Superior Court, questioned a witness in a manner that was “inappropriately aggressive and conveyed to the jury that he questioned her credibility,” the opinion said. ...
