A federal judge said Monday she’s expecting to uphold a California law that bars the marketing firearms to minors, finding the commercial speech is restricted to banning advertising guns to those who aren’t old enough to legally own them.
Judge Christina Snyder of the US District Court for the Central District of California said the state restriction is on commercial speech and withstands scrutiny.
“Obviously, I know the plaintiffs vehemently disagree,” she said after a 30-minute hearing over whether she should block the ban.
