The Senate Judiciary Committee advanced attorney general nominee Pam Bondi along party lines, setting her up for expected confirmation to lead President Donald Trump’s Justice Department.
Bondi, considered a relatively mainstream pick compared with other Trump selections for key positions, cleared the Republican-led panel 12-10 on Wednesday. The full Senate is expected to quickly take up her nomination.
