Jurors at the corruption trial of US Senator Bob Menendez ended a second day of deliberations without a verdict after asking the judge about two bribery charges and whether they must be unanimous to acquit on any count.

The panel will return Tuesday to Manhattan federal court, where the New Jersey Democrat faces 16 counts, including bribery, extortion, and acting as an agent of Egypt.
