The Trump administration can withhold funds from the US Conference of Catholic Bishops while the organization challenges a lower court’s decision refusing to temporarily block the suspension or termination of its government contracts for refugee relocation programs, a divided appeals court said.
The Conference failed to meet the “stringent requirements” to warrant an injunction pending appeal, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit said in a March 28 per curiam order.
