Big Bus Tours Keeps $81 Million National Mall Contract

Big Bus Tours will keep its 10-year, $81 million contract to provide tours of the National Mall in Washington for the National Park Service, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled (Nat’l Mall Tours of Washington Inc. v. U.S. Dep’t of the Interior, D.C. Cir., No. 16-1580, 7/7/17).

The three-judge panel rejected competitor National Mall Tours of Washington Inc.'s assertion that a change of ownership to Big Bus Tours should have prevented the award.

National Mall Tours also lacked standing to challenge the award decision, Judge Robert L. Wilkins said.
