The White House announced plans Wednesday to nominate North Carolina’s solicitor general to the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
If confirmed, Ryan Park would sit on the Richmond-based federal appeals court, which covers the federal trial courts in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. He would fill the seat of James Andrew Wynn, an Obama appointee who said earlier this year he planned to take senior status, a form of semi-retirement.
