Baseball America Subscribers Drop Suit Over Website Tracking

Baseball America Inc. subscribers dismissed their proposed class action alleging the sports news service shared their video-watching data with Meta Platforms Inc. and Google LLC without consent in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

The plaintiffs filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Tuesday in the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. They alleged in an April 2025 complaint that Baseball America incorporated tracking tools from Meta and Google on the baseballamerica.com website, allowing the social-media companies to collect their data for use in targeted advertising.
