BakerHostetler Hires Ex-FTC Official From Cooley (1)

BakerHostetler has hired Marc Schildkraut, the former assistant director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition, from Cooley as a partner in its Washington office.

Schildkraut is a deal adviser who has worked on antitrust clearance of major mergers including Chevron’s merger with Texaco, Exxon’s merger with Mobil, and PepsiCo’s merger with Quaker.

While at the FTC from 1976-93, Schildkraut led injunctions and administrative lawsuits as well as investigations into hundreds of mergers. He led the original Microsoft antitrust investigation, according to BakerHostetler.
