A Pennsylvania hospital worker wasn’t fired because of her Crohn’s disease, she was fired for violating the terms of a written warning about her conduct, a federal court said, dismissing her discrimination suit.
The hospital is entitled to summary judgment because Aliyah Remetz conceded she was fired because of her own misconduct and the record showed that the hospital made a good-faith effort to accommodate her disability, Judge John M. Gallagher said Monday for the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
