A school district’s effort to transfer a severely autistic student from a specialized facility to a local high school over his mother’s objection failed May 28.
Because the school year in question was over, the school district’s challenge to a federal district court ruling that the move violated the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act was moot, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit said.
Even if the mother challenges the district’s efforts to move her son in future school years, nothing guarantees her claims will be of the same procedural nature as those involving the 2016–2017 school year, ...
