Attorney General Pam Bondi Discloses Sale of Trump Media Shares

Attorney General Pam Bondi has sold her shares in Trump Media & Technology Group Corp., the company that owns Truth Social, according to a public disclosure.

Bondi’s shares and warrants, or rights to purchase shares in the future, were worth between $1 million and $5.5 million at the time of the April 2 sale, the Office of Government Ethics document showed on Wednesday.

Bondi previously disclosed she held stock and warrants that in December were worth nearly $4 million in the Trump-associated media company. Trump, while president-elect, tapped her in November to be the nation’s chief law enforcement officer. She was confirmed in February.

She said she received the shares as compensation for consulting services after Trump Media made its Wall Street debut in March 2024 through a blank-check merger.

Shares in Trump Media traded as high as $42 in January but the stock has seen a steady slump in following months, trading at just under $19 on April 2.

Under an ethics agreement, Bondi said she would divest her stake in Trump Media within 90 days of her confirmation and that she wouldn’t participate in any matter that has a direct effect on the company’s financial interests until that divestment.

The Justice Department didn’t immediately return a request for comment.

Bondi became attorney general on Feb. 5 following a career that included a stint as Florida attorney general. After leaving that role, she became a partner at the powerful lobbying firm Ballard Partners and worked on several Trump-associated ventures.

The OGE disclosure covers purchases, sales, or exchanges of securities in excess of $1,000 made on behalf of the filer, the filer’s spouse, or dependent child.
