AT&T Avoids Class Lawsuit Over ‘Confusing’ Overtime Pay Stubs

AT&T Services Inc.'s pay stubs, which split time-and-a-half overtime pay into base and premium hours, don’t violate California law, and a proposed class action against the company must be dismissed, a state appellate court said Thursday.

William Velis sued the telecommunications company in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of current and former employees who had received “confusing and inaccurate wage statements,” as well as on behalf of the state of California under the Private Attorneys General Act.
