Apple Inc., the world’s most valuable technology company, is under mounting pressure on many fronts.

Demand for the iPhone is only just recovering from a sluggish stretch, and rival Chinese brands have been making inroads. Apple’s business model is under attack from regulators on both sides of the Atlantic.
