Appeals Court Judges Question Immigration Arrests at Churches

A Washington federal appeals court appeared likely to revive a bid by religious organizations to block the Trump administration’s policy greenlighting immigration enforcement actions in houses of worship.

A three-judge panel for the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit heard arguments on Thursday in a challenge to the Department of Homeland Security‘s decision to rescind guidance limiting immigration enforcement in certain “sensitive” locations, like churches and hospitals.
