Appeal in Gay Catholic School Worker Suit Paused for SCOTUS Case

The Fourth Circuit on Friday placed on hold an appeal by Charlotte Catholic High School and two co-defendants of their loss in a gay substitute teacher’s job bias lawsuit alleging he was terminated because of his same-sex marriage.

Charlotte Catholic, Mecklenburg Area Catholic Schools, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Charlotte, Lonnie Billard, and a legion of amici will now have to wait until the US Supreme Court issues a decision in 303 Creative LLC v.
