Two bills recently signed into law in Nevada and Maine have created quite a buzz, generating headlines (like this and this and this and this) bubbling up out of the anxiety surrounding the forthcoming California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). While the new laws do include similarities to the CCPA—as both address the sale of personal information—the differences are notable and significant.
