Amazon.com and its subsidiary, Twitch Interactive Inc., were granted a default judgment in a suit seeking to block a Moscow court’s ruling favoring a Russian tycoon’s son, who sued the company for suspending access to his Twitch streaming account.
The Russian judgment is currently worth more than all the money in the world, Amazon and Twitch’s complaint filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California said. They filed a motion seeking the default, saying that Kirill Konstantinovich Malofeyev was properly served and failed to appear or file any pleadings in the case.
