Albuquerque Political Committee Rules Temporarily Put On Hold

A US judge has temporarily blocked some of Albuquerque, N.M.'s rules adopted to regulate political committees, finding they likely run afoul of the First Amendment.

The plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits of their challenge to some, but not all, of the rules governing what the city calls measure finance committees—political committees, persons or groups that support or oppose a candidate or ballot measure, Judge James O.
