An Alabama probate judge was removed from office for using what a court concluded was racist language and for showing an employee a sexually inappropriate video. .
“Although the complaint alleges ‘racially insensitive demeanor,’ this Court is of the opinion that Judge (John ‘Randy’) Jinks’s conduct rose above racial insensitivity,” the Alabama Court of the Judiciary said Oct. 27.
One example cited by the court was a comment attributed to Jinks to the only Black court employee about his new car, allegedly asking whether he sold drugs to pay for it.
