Abortion Politics Put Walgreens in No-Win Situation: Beth Kowitt

For advocates of women’s reproductive health, it’s been pretty much all doom and gloom since last summer when the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade, ending a nearly 50-year US constitutional right to abortion.

One of the few moments of hope for women’s health advocates came in January, when the US Food and Drug Administration opened a new channel for medication abortion by giving pharmacies the greenlight to dispense the abortion pill mifepristone.
