A California-based health-care consulting firm has won the assets of Genesis Healthcare, once the country’s largest nursing home operator.
New Generation Health’s $1 billion winning bid — revealed in a transcript — may be surprising. Their name hadn’t come up when Dallas-based bankruptcy Judge Stacey G.C. Jernigan blocked insiders’ purchase proposal last month or when she tapped another company just last week to lead off bidding in this latest auction, James Nani reports.
