Q&A: Former SCOTX Chief Wallace Jefferson
Earlier this month, former Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Wallace B. Jefferson took the helm as president of the American Law Institute, a national group that aims to clarify and modernize the law through its publications, used widely by state courts and legislatures.
Jefferson, who returned to private practice in 2013 after a 12-year stint on SCOTX, says he’s excited to bring the perspective of a practicing lawyer to the role, as well his experience leading a state court, where many of the issues the Institute deals with take place.
