Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has spent a year running for the US Senate saying how much he loves Donald Trump. The president just won’t say it back when it matters most.

After Paxton forced a runoff against Senator John Cornyn in the Republican primary earlier this week, Trump said he would endorse one candidate soon and ask the other to drop out.
